Which image is real Leon?
Is there anybody who could answer to this question?
We flied to Pusan to see Leon who scheduled to take a photo of poster"Chonsamong" that day. When we arrived at the huge set, named "Dilmoon" was built inside the Pusan convention center construction area, we felt somewhat strange feeling and uncomfortable.
The public relations officer said Leon refused not only public interview but also photographing poster. Because of non-stop shooting for 18 hours until morning, he had skin problem and his make-up artist "Kim Chung Kyung" was not there so he couldn't cover up his skin problem.
And he also prohibited to record "making process film" and reacted very sensitively to the close-up scene.
Because of delay in shooting schedule, Leon should do non-stop shooting for 18 hours. Leon suffered from headache and epigastric pain at that time.
Anyway he did a good job.
So we have to understand his emotional state at the Malaysia airport. He rushed to fly there without any rest because the last shooting in Pusan was finished around 5 a.m. Actually he flied to Malaysia via Seoul early in the morning. That's the reason why he was so irritable at the Malaysia airport. (He should wait for about 10 min until the van came to collect him.)

When we saw his pictures in his album jacket and commercials, it's unbelivable as a 33 yrs old guy's skin, looked like baby's one, so we used to have a strange feeling about that.
When we meet him last June at the opening ceremony ,Leon said about his own philosophy.
"Doing something perfectly or not doing anything, I am a objective perfectness."
It`s a kind of his perfectness.
Somebody said that Leon only admitted to take a photo under the complete setting condition (hair, make-up, and clothing etc) and he only worked with the first class photographer (Christopher). He could make Leon's skin looked just like what we've seen through computer working.

He always exercise at least an hour and keep his skin suntanned everyday even if he was late for his appointment (such as shooting or interview). On the contrary, he could't wait more than 30 min in the shooting place.
If he has only that kind of fault, how could he success in the entertainment field and to be a star? But if we try to see him from the different view point, we could find his professionalism and he is a kind of close friendly actor.

Somebody said that reason of his participation in Korean movie is a kind of break through from the declining and falling Hong Kong movie system. But we sured that Leon had a special concern to this Korean movie"Chonsamong".
He understand and could speak common Korean language. Even he didn't know a term of respect(honorific language), (p.s It's very difficult for foreigner to understand that term) anybody who ever saw the Leon's behavior in front of the staff, who dare say he is a foreigner?(Eventhough his pronunciation is not perfect, but he tried to speak Korean language anywhere, anytime and to anybody.
Whenever he speaks Korean language, he is not a superstar Leon, but just only 5 yrs old naughty little boy. Let's have a big hand for Leon.
Do you know why his pocket is always filled with sweet snacks, such as chewing gum, candy , chocolate? Who is the lucky guy Leon gave those things?
The answer is the camera man. It doesn't need any explanation. How clever he is!
And somebody said Leon is the DJ DOC(Korean famous singer group), they are both suffered from the lyrics of their song.)

Leon insisted that the reason why he did Korean movie is his destiny.
'In Hong Kong this kind of movie could'nt be made because there is no body to invest to this kind of movie.
"Chonsamong" is a very unique and attractive movie, that is the only reason I choosed. If I did a Korean movie because of the break through , I should choose the movie which had more guarantee (famous director and big company), you know I already received many suggestion from other Korean movie company but refused.
The only reason to choose this Chonsamong is because of it's new concept, there is no other reason than that for me to choose this movie (with unexperinced director and shortage of money) .
The guarantee of mine in H.K is 60-70 millions , but I got only 25 millions in this movie. (In Korea, his guarantee is only 1/3 compared to that of Hong Kong.
Money doesn't matter for him. The only thing he concerned about is just the quality of the movie. Leon not only actively involved in this movie through letting this unexperienced director (Mr Park) know about action scene but also gave his wonderful idea to Mr Park.)
Anyway to do Korean movie is a good opportunity for me and I already knew Korean movie system is bigger and better now, but the only reason I do is it's new concept.
I enjoy challenge.

He learned Korean consonant & vowel letters already and he memorized all dialogue completely just like memorizing lylics. He already overcome the stage of unnatural pronunciation.
He showed us his Korean language skill , sometimes he answered directly without translation.
He must be a professional guy.
At the beginning of shooting movie, Chonsamong team wasted much times because of shortage of money, so the schedule should be delayed and they couldn't finish it yet.
Because Leon contracted with them for 2 months, nobody could blame Leon eventhough he refused to shoot the movie beyond the period of contract.
But who is Leon?
Leon said he understand the special condition of process of making movie and he promised to complete movie (How wonderful Leon is!)
So Leon should have a hard time to shoot two movies simultaneously.

Have you ever imagine the Leon's behavior " Eum ~~ Mat it Da " ( How taste it is in Korean) while eating Korean traditional cake, duk-bok-ki as a between meals.)

Let's ask to the costarring about Leon.

Yoon Tae Young's comment about Leon
The costarring of "Chonsamong" whose name is Yoon Tae young talked about Leon.
"Isn't it funny?" ,Leon's favorite liquor is Soju, it's brand name is "Laiming 808".
That is a kind of Korea traditional rice wine(distilled liquor). They became a drinking pal through shooting a movie in Pusan. He said he was initially worried about the disharmony with Leon because he is a foreigner, however on the contrary Leon did a effort to be harmony with Korean staff and costarring. Because Mr. Yoon could speak English well. Leon depended on him in many occasion.

Park Eun Hye's comment about Leon
Miss park is a new face in this movie, she only did 2 TV series "LA arirang" and "Six brother & sisters" and one movie"If shooting and dying".
Because of her purity and innocent image, Leon recommed her as his partner in an audition.
Leon said she not only looked like "Wong Jo Hyun" but also had a similar habit with Miss Wong expecially when she did NG.
Anyway they made intimate friendship in a short time because her similarity.

Lee Na Young's comment
Because of air temperature drop in the early morning and night, everybody is easy to catch a cold .
Lee Na Young and her manager also got a cold and suffered from high fever, sore throat, chilling sensation and coughing.
In Korea, all Korean Doctors had a strike since last month, so it is hard to get a doctor's prescription these days.
So Leon gave them his secrete formula for a common cold. Leon said they should take those medication and a cup of cola simultaneously.
The reason why?
A small amount of caffein in cola could prevent the sleeping effect of common cold medication.
But it did'nt work for them, on the contrary they became a drowsy state just after taking those formula. (Oh! No Leon. You are not a doctor, any patient should get a proper prescription from a Doctor because of a different biological action in the human body.)
One day Leon suddenly started to shivering his body while recording Lee Na Young's face closely.
Why?
He said it's just for the special effect.
Why a certain person sometimes shivering his body in the swimming pool? The phenomena I can only say is the temperature of water around him elevated.

黎明包含了兩個極端 (天使與魔鬼)。
很難明白黎明這個人。
為什麼？
面向公眾，他是溫柔和善的，可是在記者面前他卻是冷面無情的人。
因為他總要令工作完美無瑕，我們當記者的必須知道他的專業要求。
他的行為亦會忽爾是充滿大明星基制下的自我形象、忽爾是在鏡頭後面與工作人員調笑的頑皮男孩。

那一個形象才是真正的黎明？
有沒有人可以回答這個問題？
那天我們飛到釜山去探訪黎明，並計劃為「天使夢」拍海報照片，當我們踏進在釜山會議中心地段內建成的錄影廠 "Dilmoon"，就感到混身不自在。
公關人員說黎明拒絕接受外界訪問，也不肯拍海報照，理由是他經過十八小時通宵拍攝，皮膚出現問題，而他的化裝師 Kim Chung Kyung又不在，無法為他掩蓋問題皮膚。此外他亦不肯拍攝花絮片段，並對近攝鏡頭很敏感。
正因為電影進度阻遲了，黎明才要十八小時不停拍攝，致令他頭痛頭暈。
不過他卻將工作做好。
因此我們明白他在馬來西亞的情緒化表現。他在釜山拍攝至凌晨五時，沒有休息就飛回漢城再趕至馬來西亞，也因此他才會在大馬機場如此急燥 (他還要在機場等候十分鐘才有車來接)。

當我們看到他的唱片封套及廣告時，難以置信這個33歲男人的皮膚，竟可像嬰兒一般。當我們在六月的開鏡禮遇到他時，黎明說出他的個人哲學 : 「要做得完美，否則寧願不做。我的目標是追求完美。」
這是他的完美主義。
有人說黎明只肯在完美配合之下拍照 (髮型、化裝和服裝等等），而他也只和一流攝影師Christopher合作，他可以令黎明的皮膚尤如經過電腦改做般。
(有人說)他每天至少運動一小時和曬太陽，什至為此而遲到 (例如拍戲或做訪問)。相反，他卻不能在拍攝場地等待超過三十分鐘。
假如他真是這樣，他怎可能在這個娛樂圈成功而成為巨星呢？
不如我們嘗試由另一個角度去看他，我們可以發現他的專業態度和他是位平易近人的演員。

有人說他肯參與這部韓國電影是為了在下跌的香港電影市場外尋求突破。可是我們肯定黎明對「天使夢」這部電影有特別感情。
他能明白和說普通韓語，雖然他並不懂敬語。可是無論任何人見到黎明在工作人員面前的表現，誰敢說他是一個外國人？ 雖然他說的並不標準，但是他不論何地何時，與任何人都嘗試說韓語。
當他說韓語時，他不是超級巨星黎明，而只是個五歲頑皮小男孩，我們應為黎明鼓掌。
你知道為什麼他的袋中總是袋滿糖果，例如口香糖、巧克力？誰那麼幸運會使黎明送贈這些東西？答案是攝影師。無須解釋，他是如何的聰明啊！
又有人說黎明是 DJ DOC (一隊韓國著明歌唱組合)，他們都受歌詞影響。

黎明說出他接拍這部韓國電影的原因:
「在香港沒有人會投資這樣的電影。天使夢是很獨特和吸引的電影，也因此我選擇了它。假如接拍韓國電影只求突破，我應該接一部更穩妥的 (有著名導演和大公司)，的確有很多韓國電影公司找我拍戲我都拒絕了。
我選天使夢的原因是為了它的新概念，沒有其他原因了 (無經驗的導演和酬金少)。
我在香港的片酬是六千萬至七千萬(韓圜)，這部電影卻只得二千五百萬 (只有香港的三分之一)」
金錢對他來說並不重要，他只關心影片的質素。
黎明不單投入拍攝，並對新進導演提供意見。
「拍攝韓國電影對我來說是個好機會，讓我更了解韓國電影制度，不過接拍的唯一原因就是它的新概念。
我享受挑戰。」

他懂得韓文字母發音，將所有台詞唸熟，尤如他記歌詞一樣。 他已克服了不自然的發音。
他對我們顯示他的韓語技巧，有時他不用翻譯，直接回答問題。

他必定是個專業工作者。
在拍攝初期，天使夢因為財源短缺而浪費不少時間，因此進度受阻而仍未拍完。 黎明和他們的合約只有兩個月，他絕對可以拒絕再拍下去。可是黎明會怎樣呢？ 黎明說他明白情況特別，所以答應完成拍攝。因此黎明要同時兼顧兩部電影。

有想像過黎明喜愛吃的是 "Eum ~~ Mat it Da" 嗎？

Yoon Tae Young對黎明的評語 ~~
Yoon Tae Young : 「有趣嗎？黎明喜愛的飲品是 Soju，牌子名稱是 "黎明808"」那是韓國傳統米酒，他們因為一同在釜山拍戲而成為一對喝酒朋友。他說他最初很擔心和黎明很難融洽相處，因為他是個外國人，可是相反，黎明很努力融和在演員及工作人員之中。正因為Yoon善於說美語，黎明很多時會依靠他。

Park Eun Hye ~~
Park是電影中的新面孔，她只做個兩個電視劇和一部電影。為了她清純稚氣形象，黎明推篤她合作。黎明說她不單看似王祖賢，什至一些習慣都很像，尤其是在NG的時候。既然她有這種相似，他倆很快就熟落。

Lee Na Young ~~
拍攝時清早和晚上氣溫急降，所以很易著涼。Lee和她的經理人也受涼而發熱、喉痛、咳得厲害。
上月韓國醫生大罷工，所以很難找醫生看。黎明就給他們一個治感冒的秘方。黎明說只要將藥吃下再喝杯可樂就可以。
為什麼？
可樂中有少量咖啡因可以防止吃藥後的睡意。可是這對他們沒有作用，相反他們吃後更嚴重了。 (黎明，你可不是醫生啊！每人的生理狀況不一樣的。)
一天正在拍攝Lee的近鏡時，黎明忽然全身打顫，為什麼？
他說這只是為了特別效果。
為什麼有些人在泳池內會忽然打顫？這現象我只可以說是圍繞他的水溫下降。
