- ~~關於拍攝日本唱片封套照片 (訪問時仍未拍攝)
- Leon~~不同的民族有自己對美麗的感覺，因此安排這項攝影工作。這是我 (黎明)的首次嘗試而這將會是我的一個很好的經驗。我十分喜愛香港版本的封套，但是也希望日本版可以有另一種看法。
- ~~對於明天的拍攝工作有什麼意見？
- Leon~~我會像一張白紙...(任由日本工作人員安排)(笑)....自然一點。
- ~~這張唱片內的新嘗試，有hip-hop感、改變唱法。
- Leon~~這張唱片充滿新嘗試。這張唱片由雷頌德監製，我和Mark都曾在英國受教育，也受英國影響至今。不過我們將這些感覺減至10%，然後加上很多美國的感覺在唱片中。我們盡量把我們在每個市場內感受到的都放進去...要研究每個市場然後做一些迎合市場的唱片！這次的日本歌也是在日本為廣東歌錄音時，聽到一位日本女職員唱一首日本插曲時創作的。
- ~~演譯由Dick Lee作的歌曲有什麼感覺？
- Leon~~沒什麼特別，不過這是我的一個新嘗試。
- ~~唱廣東歌和國語歌感受不一吧
- Leon~~不同的，演唱時不一樣。
- ~~下一張國語唱片何時推出
- Leon~~拍完幾個廣告片之後，大概夏天吧。
- ~~有沒有寫作歌詞的計劃
- Leon~~我想我沒有作詞天份 (笑)....太忙，沒有時間去利用歌詞去表達我的感覺。在壓力下會做得不好。
- ~~你感到「玻璃之城」的結局是美好的嗎？
- Leon~~我認同。活得好不等如活得長。我的基本想法是如何使自己的人生充滿歡樂和活得更好。
- ~~「甜蜜蜜」和「玻璃之城」中，那一個角色比較像你本人？
- Leon~~兩個角色都由我人生一部份來主宰的，所以兩個都是我的本性 (笑)
- ~~杜琪峰的「真心英雄」呢？
- Leon~~他是我的老朋友，不過這是首次和他合作。他對社會問題很感興趣也希望在戲中反映出來。可是他比較大男人主義....因此他的故事中沒有愛情。我較喜歡演「甜蜜蜜」和「玻璃之城」那些愛情故事。
- ~~九八年過得怎樣？
- Leon~~音樂方面，由寶麗金轉到新力，在新力出的EP得到很好的銷量給我很大的鼓勵。電影方面，「玻璃之城」不負所望在金馬獎得到十一項提名。一九九八年對於我是不錯的一年。
- 編者的話 :
- Leon正在計劃他的1999香港演唱會。編者也渴望他在來年開第一次的日本演唱會。

- On Asian pop magazine, Leon answering..
- - about Japanese version jacket photos (not yet taken the photos at the interview time).
- Leon~~Different nations are having their own sense of beauty so this
time's photo session has been arranged. It's My (Leon) first trial and
seems will be a good experience for me. I like Hong Kong's very much.
But I hope Japanese jacket could approach from different side.
- - do you have any idea for tomorrow's photo session?
- Leon~~Let my mind be a piece of blank paper (will accept any requests from the
Japanese staff)...(laughing)...naturally.
- - about new trial in this time's album containing sense of hip-hop, changing way to singing.
- Leon~~ I think it's full of new trials- concept for new album, under Mark Lui's producing
As Mark and I have experiences of studying in England so we picked up
senses from England's music up to now. But we deceased these senses to
about 10% and added much American touch in this album.
We're trying to pick up the feeling we got at each market...have to
study each market and make the album to suit it! And, this time Japanese
song was being created based on romantic episode heard from one Japanese
female staff when recording other Cantonese songs in Japan.
- - how about the impression of singing songs composed by Dick Lee?
- Leon~~Nothing special. But It's one of the new trials for me.
- - feeling when you're singing in Cantonese and in Mandarin.
- Leon~~Mostly different. Quite different in concentrating to sing the songs.
- - next schedule for album in Mandarin.
- Leon~~After filming of few commercials, around summer.
- - any plan to try write any lyrics
- Leon~~I think I have no such talent of writing lyrics (laughing)...
Too busy to think of expressing my feeling for writing the lyric. I'm
not good at working under pressure.
- - Do you think love in "City of Glass" a happy ending?
- Leon~~I think so, quality of life is not equal to the length of life.
My basic stance is how to make my life full of fun and have good quality.
- - which character (in "Love Song" and "City of Glass") is more close to yourself?
- Leon~~Both characters were decided from part of my own life.
So both of them are actually my own character (laughing)
- - How about Johnny To's direction in "A Hero Never Dies"
- Leon~~He is my old friend (I know him for a long time) but it's the first time
to work with. He is very interesting in social problem and willing to expose the
points in his films. But he is very individual...So he doesn't make love
story. I prefer to act in love stories like "Love Song" and "City of Glass"
- - what was your 98?
- Leon~~For the music, changing company from polygram to SME. I'm very
encouraged by the great sales of the first EP from SME after changing
the company.
For the movie, "City of Glass" was very estimated with its quality, it
was being nominated for 11 awards at the Golden Horse Awards
Presentation Ceremony. 1998 was a good year for me.

- Leon is planning his year end concert in Hong Kong in 1999.
And the interviewer is expecting Leon's first concert in Japan in the next year.
