       黎明最近大概是憋了一肚子的氣，很想找人吐苦水，這個時候他想起我。

       黃小清打電話來：「黎明明晚拍廣告，他想你去看看他，明晚我同你一起去。」

       小清是黎明的朋友，是黎家賓妹之外，唯一經常接近黎明的一位女性。

       聽說黎明「自殺」的那日，我打電話找的便是小清。如果小清仍優哉游哉在購物，黎明 便不可能是「自殺」了。

       「黐線」，小清在電話中是這樣回答我的。

        如果說黎明死了，我不會說不信。但說這個人自殺，那是打死我 也不信的。

        一個這麼愛自己的人，怎可能自殺。

        黎明的爸爸當然最了解黎明，他的講法是「逼佢，佢都唔會死，點會自殺。」

        當我說：「邊個整蠱黎明呀？」

        一個在黎家門外守候了十小時的記者說：「係整蠱我地就真，果 晚又風又雨，我地守候o左十個小時，我地被人整蠱就真呀。」

        有人怪黎明遲遲不亮相，以結束這場不該有的「鬧劇」。

        去到成豐片場，黎明正在拍一個國內的礦泉水廣告，他一身黑 衣，正與十個八個舞蹈員在鏡頭前跳舞，導演是個女的，香港人，排 舞的是位韓國人，當中有翻譯，黎明每次回到化妝間都汗流浹背。

差 點 暈 倒

        我盯著黎明看，他看上去精神爽利，跟那日記者招待會上一臉的 無奈大不相同，這個人容易殘，亦容易恢復神采。

        我並沒有什麼問題想問黎明，于是，我靜靜的坐在他身旁，等他 說他想說的。

        「....」是想著該怎麼開始吧，「果日，我去參加反盜版遊 行，許冠文見到我，佢問：「你無o野o丫嘛？你幾好o丫嘛？」我說： 「好，我無事，有心啦。」跟住成龍大哥望見我，佢問：「你無事o丫 嘛？」「放心啦，我無事，我幾好。」跟住，梁家輝又問：「你無事o丫 嘛？」「無，無事，有心。」「人，要愛惜自己，不要做傷害自己的 事。」「無事呀，我無傷害自己。」「係，我無話你傷害自己。但，人唔好 做傻事嘛。」梁家輝話。

        「我當時差D暈o左，任由我點否認，佢竟當我做o左，我真係差D暈o左o係 度。」黎明說。

        我說：「大部份人不了解你，所以，佢地無法判斷事情的真假。

        「我們這小部份人比較了解你，不會相信你自殺，但少數人敵不過那麼 多人。所以，關于你自殺的事，不少人仍認為是謎。」

        謠言滿天飛的時候，黎明正在他的高床暖枕上呼呼大睡，他的經理人和 他的唱片公司怎樣否認那謠言都沒用，因為，記者們問：「由尋晚，到今日有無見過佢呀？ 有無同佢通過電話呀？」無，全部都無。

全 無 動 靜

        黃小清是可以打入臥房看看黎明是否在床上的，但她怕吵醒他， 被他罵一頓，只好問廚房中工作的賓妹：「阿Sir呢？」「阿Sir(目訓) o左。」門是鎖上的，賓妹見到主人的鎖匙在茶几上，鞋子在門外，用 耳朵貼著房門，聽不到任何動靜，不能証明什麼。

        有人說孫敬安打過電話入房，但沒說是什麼時間。

        我帶點批評的說：「應該早D出來澄清，不要讓謠言傳得太耐。 現在，這樣一搞，有人說是永遠成謎，真不值得。」

        黎明說：「咁多年，成日都有有關我的傳言啦，無日無之啦，我 無可能日日走出來澄清呢件係呢件唔係嘿。

        「佢地忽然傳：黎明的背上長出一對翼，飛o左上我地報館天台o係 度種樹，唔通我又要企出來澄清？！」黎明說：「依加媒界做新聞 根本混亂。

        「好似果日反盜版遊行，我企o係呢邊，李嘉欣企o係果邊，佢地寫 話我地唔瞅唔睬，兩個人相隔咁遠，唔通高叫打招呼咩？

        「有一張相登出來，又話李嘉欣同我有講有傾，同埋一日影的 相，分兩日登出，頭一日話唔瞅唔睬，第二日又話有講有傾，係唔係 混亂o丫？電腦就話千年蟲o者，人腦千年蟲重來得快。」

       黎明最不滿是「自殺」之後，連著好幾天，每天都被六、七部車 追逐，有記者打去公益金同聯合國兒童基金，問：「呢個人自殺，形 象咁差，你地重用唔用佢呀？」

何 必 詛 咒

        百事活的人說：「每日被跟蹤，好似拍警匪片咁，日日大陣 仗。」

        黎明的座駕兩旁的玻璃是茶色的，由外向內，什麼也望不見，要 拍到後座的黎明，要從車前的擋風玻璃拍攝，車正在開行，這當然是 很危險的。

        阿Ｂ仔是黎明沿用了多年的司機，「佢手車好辣，撇人好叻。」 有人如此形容。

        黎明一方面很厭煩那些人跟蹤他，一方面又擔心那些不顧安全的 被撞傷，佢有時都會o係車廂內同外邊攔截住佢的人打一個照面。佢以 為對方在見得佢時，會示意佢移正Ｄ，影番張正Ｄ o既，但，黎明摹倣 對方的神色和態度，對我說：

        「這同做一個粗口手勢有乜分別？眼望眼，竟這麼敵意。」

        講到同記者的關係，黎明有D感慨，佢話：

        「有個記者，相識十年，佢轉工，轉去一份新報紙做，佢叫我俾 佢影相，幫o下佢。

        「好，無所謂，又要換衫，又要整頭髮都無所謂。大家相識一 場，幫得到就幫。

        「負責做訪問的問：Leon，唔介意做衰新聞o丫嘛？唔介意，如果 你認為做衰我，幫到你銷路，我唔介意，我由出道果日起，幾乎無日 無衰新聞。我唔介意，幫到佢我真係唔介意。

        「結果，新聞出來話我如果果日自殺死，今日就係我頭七。」

        「你介意？」

        「何必呢？冰姐，咁又何必呢？咁對我，對佢地都無好處，又 幫佢唔到，咁來詛咒我，有乜得益呢？

        「冰姐，你又好呀，從來唔使追新聞，鍾意訪問邊個就邊個，唔 鍾意就唔訪問，你獨一無二。」

廣 告 厚 酬

        我笑笑口：「阿黎你至獨一無二，一單假自殺，竟成港聞版頭 條，你都唔好嬲o勒，可知你依加有幾紅。」

        「聽講依加每張相值三百蚊，有人賣報館就買，人人都可能係狗 仔隊。」

        我問黎明：「你點知呀？」

        「Ｄ記者話我知o既，好多唔係記者o黎o既，好多人失業，無野做， 跟蹤藝人，三百蚊一張相。重有呀，阿ＸＸ約人訪問，報館知道， 另外派狗仔隊跟蹤，另外再做。」

        「你點知o架？」

        「Ｄ記者話我知o既。」

        聽起來，真是七國咁亂，唔知邊句真邊句假。看來是黎明信到十 足，愈來愈不會輕易答應接受訪問o勒。

       「拍廣告係唔係好好賺呀？」

        「係。」

       「咁，以後多Ｄ拍廣告啦。」

        「咁要人請先至得o架。」

繼 續 跳 舞

        「今年拍唔拍電影呀？」

        「唔拍o勒，無時間，遲Ｄ要準備年尾果個演唱會。」

        「有電影就拍啦。拍電影好呀。」

       「邊有電影拍o者，有梗係好啦，不過今年真係無時間o勒。」

        黎明拿著歌詞，在我面前唱著這一晚的廣告歌，很有心機的由第 一句唱到最後一句，不知是否忽然憶起我好記性，很鄭重地：

        「呢Ｄ歌詞唔可以寫出來o架，我唱俾你聽咋，唔可以寫o架。」

        「呢個廣告幾時出街呀？」

        「四月中啦。」

       外邊（攝影棚）正播著歌，一把我並不熟悉的聲音，「邊個唱緊 呢隻廣告歌呀？」我問。

        黎明聆聽o左約一分鐘：「雷頌德唱o既，我唱o既拎o左返屋企，今晚 排舞用o左雷頌德唱o既呢條帶。」

        這個廣告拍四日，這一日是第二日。拍完這個廣告黎明就去日本。

        小清把他替黎明選的衣服帶了來，沒機會對黎明說，只好叮囑子 泉：「這件衫是不用扣上下鈕o既，穿時衫腳要放到褲子外邊，記住， 唔好搞錯。」

        當子泉聽見黎明一條褲子三萬八千時，眼也大了一倍。

        我走時已是凌晨，天恩開車送我走，黎明則仍身水身汗的在鏡頭 前跳舞。

SUICIDE RUMOURS
LEON SPEAKS OUT

Recently Leon has been under a lot of stress and wants to find someone to talk to. At that time, he thought of me. Wong Siu Ching, a close friend of Leon's, said me "Tomorrow night, Leon is making his new CM, he wants to talk to you, I will go with you tomorrow, ok?" Siu Ching is probably the only female (apart from his Philippino maid) that can get close to Leon without rumours.

The day that rumours about Leon commiting suicide, I rang Siu Ching to find out. She was happily shopping! If Leon was in hospital, there is no way she will be shopping!

"Dont be stupid" was the reply I got from Siu Ching.

If Leon did die(touch wood), I won't say I don't believe, but saying that he suicided, then kill me first before I can believe it. A person who loves himself so much, how can he end his own life?

Leon's father who undoubtedly knows Leon, said to the media "Even if you force him, he will not die, how can he suicide?"

Then I replied, "who pull this joke on Leon then?"

A journalist who waited 10 hours outside the house of Leon said "It is a joke pulled on us! That night was cold and raining, we waited 10 hours! It is a joke on us, more like it"

Some blamed Leon for not coming out quick enough to stop the rumours, so that it can end this fiasco.

I went to the location where Leon was shooting his new CM. Leon is shooting a CM for a China based Spring Water company. He was wearing black top to bottom, was rehearsing a dance scene with the dancers. The director was a HK female, the dance instructor was a Korean, and a translator was there too. Every time, Leon went back to the changing room.. he was soaked in his own sweat...

NEARLY FAINTED

I was staring at Leon, he looks so refresh and full of energy. He was totally different from his weary look at his previous press conference. He can look tired and stressed very easy, yet he bounce back to his own self almost at the same time.

I don't have much questions to ask Leon, so I sat down quietly waiting for him to start.

"......." Leon began his story. "Last wednesday, I went to the anti-pirate sales demonstration, Micheal Hui Guen Man saw me and asked 'How are you, are you ok?' I replied 'I am fine, thanks!'.... then Jacky Chan saw me and said, 'How are you, are you ok?' I replied 'I am fine, thanks!' Then Tony Leung Kar Fei came to me and said, 'Are you ok?' I replied again, 'I am fine, nothing wrong, thanks.' Tony continued, 'You, have to love yourself, don't try any more stupid things la....' I was gutted! I nearly fainted on the spot! No matter how hard I try to clear those lies, They all think I did it! I nearly fainted on the spot! Leon said with a fed up expression.

I said to Leon "This is because those people don't understand you! That is why they cannot verify this rumour is true or not!" "We, this minority understands and knows you, will definitely know that you will not suicide. But we are only a minority! We cannot defeat the majority who still thinks your suicide is a mystery".

At the time when the suicide rumours was flying through the whole corners of the world.. Leon was sound asleep in his room. No matter how hard his Record Company offiicials and his manager Joe Chan was denying those rumours, it was of no effect. Just as the journalist said, "From last night until today, no one has saw Leon, any one talk to him on the phone? No, all NO."

NO RESPONSE

Siu Ching could have rang Leon's bedroom phone to clearify, but she didn't. She was afraid she would wake Leon, who is relaly lacking sleep! So, she asked his maid, "Is Sir In?" The maid replied "Sir is asleep." His bedroom door is locked. His keys were on the table and shoes were in the hall. If you pressed your ears against his door.. no sound. But yet can't prove anything.

Some said Suen King On rang through to his room, but didn't say when.

So I said to Leon in a more formal tone, "You should have came out earlier to explain. Now every one thinks it is a mystery.. not worth it!"

Leon said "Over the years, there are so many of my rumours. I cannot run out each time to explain."

Leon continued, "If one day they said Leon grew wings on his back, flew to the top of the building and planting trees, do I have to come out to explain?" "You have to admit the media are creating news and it is a total mess."

"Just like the day of the march, I stand on one side, Michelle Reis ( Lee Kar Yan) stood on the other side, one report said that we are on non speaking terms! Come on, so far and so many people, surely you don't want me to scream over?"

"But the funny thing was, another report posted a pic of me and her and said we were talking and laughing and taking photos together. "The two reports were published in 2 days. The first day said we were not talking and the second day said we were very friendly.. Don't you think it is all a mess? Computers has the Year 2000 bugs... but Human Brains has year 2000 bugs too.. but worse.. it came quicker."

What angered Leon so much was, the couple of days there after, he was chased and followed by at least 6 to 7 cars, and worse of all, some journalists rang up UNICEF and Community Chest and asked "Leon try to commit Suicide, such a bad image, will you continue to use him!?" What a bunch of Crap!

WHY?

Paciwood officials said " Every day been followed, it is liked a cops film.. battle every day! "

Leon's van's side window are those type of non see through ones. From the inside you can see everything, but from the outside, it is all pitch black. The only way to spot and photo Leon from his van is through the front window. This is a very dangerous task, especially if the van is in motion.

Bee is Leon's long term van driver, and he is well known for his driving skills and his ability to lose all chasing cars.

On the one hand, Leon hates been followed, but on the other, he worried about those who ignores safety and run towards the van in order to take photos. Many a times, Leon emerge from his van and try to persuade those followers not to continue. But the response he gets its frightening. Leon said that those journalists looks so fierce and so wicked and Leon preformed a hand gesture to me that was shown to him. "This is just like a bad-lang gesture! Eye to eye. Why so much hatred?"

When asked about his relationship with the journalists, Leon was very sentimental. Leon said "A journalist I knew for around 10 years just recently went to a new tabloid, asked me to do an interview to help him.. I don't mind at all.. new clothes, new hair style.. so much trouble for one interview... I don't mind at all.... I just want to help him!" "He asked me do I mind all those negative stories about me? I don't mind at all. The first day I went in to this business, there were numerous negative stories, if you think that the only way to sell your newspaper is to write bad stories about me go ahead!"

"The result? When that interviewed came out, the heading was 'If I had died on that day, Today is my first 7 day dead'" (translator's note: although Leon didn't specify which newspaper, but it was the first issue of the new newspaper in Hong Kong, THE SUN NEWSPAPER.)

"Do you mind?" I asked.

"Why should I?" "What is the point? Whatever they write, no one benefits?"

"Of course, they are not like you! How I envy you! You can write whatever you want, who to interview! It is all your choice! You are the only one!"

COMMERICALS

I smiled as I replied "No, Leon you are the one and only! One silly rumours and you are on the front page of all newspapers! This just show you how famous you are!"

Leon contiued, "I heard that papers are paying $300 per photo. Every one can be a paparazzi"

I asked Leon "How do you know?" "The journalists told me." Leon answered. They said it is very common now, $300 per photo. If a star are been interviewed by some other magazine, all others will still follow them..."

By the sound of things, The HK media is in total shambles. No one knows what is the true anymore. By the looks of thing, Leon will be more careful about giving any more interviews.

"Do you earn a lot from making CMs?"

"Yes!"

"Then shoot more CMs in the future!"

"But it is not up to me, up to the companies."

CONTINUE DANCING

"Making any more films this year?"

"I don't think so, I don't have time, I have to prepare for my concert at the end of the year."

"But making films is good!"

"I know it is good.. but I really don't have time!"

Leon was holding the lyrics to his new CM song. He put a lot of effect and thought from the first line to the last. He suddenly remembered I have a very good memory and said very seriously to me.

"These lyrics cannot be published! I am justing singing it for you! Please don't published it."

I kept my promise.

"When is the CM due to air?"

"Mid April." I can hear a song broadcasting outside, but the voice is unfamiliar! I asked Leon, "Who is that singing?"

Leon listened for about 1 mins and replied, "Oh.. That is Mark's voice. Mine copy is at home. So we are using Mark's demo tape to rehearse the dance."

This CM shooting will take 4 days. This is the second day. Afterwards, Leon will fly out to Japan. Siu Ching just brought in the clothes she chose for him but she didn't have a chance to talk to Leon and so she said to Chi Chuen ( Leon's assistant) "This jacket doesn't need to be zip up. When wearing it, don't tuck it under the trousers, remember, don't forget!"

When Chi Chuen realised that a pair of Leon's trousers costs $38,000, his eyes were wide open.

When I left the studio, it was just the crack of dawn, Tin Yan kindly gave me a lift, and Leon continued to rehearse his dance in front of the cameras, soaking in sweat as per usual.
